I am not an in-network provider and do not accept insurance directly. You pay in full at the time of service, and at the end of each month, if requested, I can provide you with a superbill to submit for potential reimbursement to your insurance provider. I recommend contacting your insurance company directly to ask about this process. Here are some questions to ask them:
Do I have out -of -network mental health or behavioral health coverage?
Do I need to meet an out -of -network deductible? How much is it?
At what rate will I be reimbursed?
Does my plan reimburse for telehealth (video) psychotherapy services?
What’s the process for getting reimbursed?
-
I reserve several spots in my practice for those who are unable to pay the full fee.
Open Path Psychotherapy Collective is another great option for reduced fee/sliding scale therapy.

The first few sessions are a chance to get to know one another and for us to determine together if we seem like a good fit. I will ask you questions to try to better understand why you are interested in starting therapy. You can ask me questions too. Many people feel some anxiety as they begin-especially if this is the first time seeing a therapist. I understand this and will check in with you as we go to assess how things feel for you and make any adjustments as needed.

There is no rule or set time limit. This is a conversation we have together as we go along. Ultimately it is always your decision to stay in therapy or decide to leave therapy.

In January 2022, the No Surprises Act went into effect. You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or are not using insurance an estimate for the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
Since we will agree upon the fee prior to working together, you will be able to anticipate the total yearly cost of sessions. However, if you would like me to provide this estimate for you, please ask and I will be happy to.
